National Volunteer Week 2026

Volunteers Week (1 – 7 June 2026), the UK’s largest annual volunteering campaign, has been promoted and celebrated in our school. Volunteering links directly to the school career programme by providing pupils with essential experiences of work, transferable skills development, and networking opportunities that enhance future pathways. Examples of skills gained through volunteering (on site and off-site):

•Teamwork and collaboration

•Problem solving

•Organisation and time management

An example is that 4C class team engaged in litter picking from the school grounds, linking the volunteering activity with the World Environment Day, celebrated on the 5^th of June. Well done, 4C team and everyone else that took part!
