Rebecca West – Secondary
Beckie (MA Teaching, PGCE Primary QTS, BA Hons, NPQSL) is the Head of School at the Secondary School. Her first experience of Hillingdon Manor was when she completed her final teaching placement at Yiewsley Grange 8 years ago where she learned how much she enjoyed supporting young autistic learners. She spent 4 years teaching in mainstream primary education where she focused on teaching outstanding PSHE and enjoyed running the school choir. She returned to Hillingdon in 2019, as a class teacher in Key Stage 3, making her move into Secondary Education. She then made the transition into management to which she has since undertaken a number of roles including Personal Development lead, Assistant Head Teacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead.
She is currently completing her MEd in Inclusive Education with Aberdeen University and her research focus is finding strategies to support young autistic people who are part of the LGBTQ community. Her Masters in Teaching was completed in 2018 at Brunel University, where she earlier qualified to teach, her dissertation was focused on the use of comic strips to support student’s understanding of English Language. At Hillingdon Manor, she completed her National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership in 2021 and will be starting her NPQH this year.

Grace Mullally – Interim Head of School (Secondary)
Grace has thirteen years’ experience of supporting children and young people with a diagnosis of Autism. She has worked at Hillingdon Manor School for the past eight years and has experience of working with students at both primary and secondary stages. During this time, Grace has supported pupils in Key Stage 3, 4 & 5 with future planning and preparing for their transition into their next phase and has established links within the local community to provide work related learning opportunities for pupils. Grace currently holds the post of School Business Manager within the school.

Jemma Kerr – Primary
Jemma (QTS incl PGCE, B Hons, NPQSL) is the Head of school, primary. She has worked at the school for over 19 years and has worked across all the sites. During her time at Hillingdon Manor she has taught a range of pupils and abilities for over 9 years, this included delivering reading interventions and managing after school provision such as Duke of Edinburgh and Life skills. She then made the transition into management, to which she has since undertaken a number of roles and additional leadership qualifications including Key Stage lead, Assistant Head Teacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Assistant Headteachers

Brendon Mascarenhas – Secondary
Brendon has taught Maths and Physics across several schools in England and abroad for the past 16 years. He has been part of the HMS team in different capacities over the last 6 years. As a passionate Maths teacher, he has helped our pupils achieve high outcomes in their GCSE and Level 3 exams. As Head of Maths, he has led the department with a strong vision and focus on delivering outcomes. He is also an experienced Exam officer and has held the post at our school and his previous school. During his tenure, he helped staff and pupils through the uncertain COVID-19 changes with assessment and exam changes. Furthermore, he has also acted as Head of Key Stage 5 where he supported the pupils on the Academic pathway. Brendon uses this wealth of experience, along with his learning from the NPQSL Qualification, to help him work effectively in his role as Assistant Headteacher. As overall in-charge of Quality of Education and Personal Development, he oversees the curriculum delivery at the secondary site and ensures that all pupils have access to a wide and rich set of extracurricular experiences.

Dawid Deszkiewicz – Secondary
Dawid has worked in SEN settings for the last 10 years. He has experience in SEN, predominantly autism and associated behavioural difficulties having worked as a certified instructor of PRICE and, more recently, Safety Interventions. Dawid held the post of a classroom teacher and Behaviour and Attitudes Lead for 6 years. Dawid is also the deputy DSL at the Manor supporting school’s ongoing safeguarding and child protection efforts. He is currently finishing his NPQ in Leading Behaviour and Culture and will be soon undertaking his MA studies in Leadership in Education.

Laura Nichol – Secondary
Laura has worked at Hillingdon Manor School for 21 years. Laura began working here as a 1:1 teaching assistant, then onto leading lessons during teacher’s PPA and then as a Class Teacher. Laura taught across the Key stages at Hillingdon Manor; upskilling and training for a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Teaching, leading to QTLS. Laura supported and implemented the ASDAN qualifications and following this was the department Lead for Skills for Life, Key stage 4 and 5. Here she was involved in the implementation of the Equals Moving On curriculum and developing our termly Market Days, where the students showcase their work to families and staff. Laura was appointed the position of Assistant Headteacher in Summer 2022, where she is supporting students and families, working closely with the school’s EHCP and Transitions Officer.

Chris Vivian – Primary
Christopher is an Assistant Head Teacher at Yiewsley Grange. After completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Education which specialised in upper primary teaching, he began his teaching career in mainstream education. During this time Christopher worked as a year six teacher and Maths Coordinator. He made the transition into special education in 2014, joining Yiewsley Grange. Christopher has since undertaken a number of roles, including Maths and English Lead, Head of Key Stage Two and his current post as Assistant Head Teacher and Deputy Safeguarding Lead. He also holds an NPQSL (National Qualification in Senior Leadership).

Marc Doe – Primary
Marc (BA Hons, L4 Forest schools) is the Assistant Head at Yiewsley Grange. He has worked at the school for over sixteen years and has worked across all the sites. During this time at Hillingdon Manor, Marc has taught a range of pupils and abilities for over ten years, working as Maths coordinator, Forest Schools Lead, and fulfilling the role of Behaviour and Attitudes Lead; this includes delivering a wide range of interventions. He also has experience managing extra-curricula such as Forest Schools clubs. In addition, he has transitioned into management, where he will be overseeing pastoral care, outdoor learning, and the development of quality of education.

Shaleena Chowhdary – Early years
Shaleena is an Assistant Headteacher at Upton Grange. She completed her Undergraduate degree at University of Manchester and went on to do a PGCE in primary & early year’s education. She began her teaching career in mainstream education, where she became head of History and PSHE. She then transitioned into special education, joining Yiewsley Grange. During her time here, she became the Reading lead. She now works at Upton Grange as an assistant head teacher with a focus on curriculum as well as managing her own class.

Patrycja Labno – Early Years
Patrycja Labno’s journey as a teacher spans nine years. She gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has earned a postgraduate degree in Educational Therapy, which equipped her with essential skills to support students with diverse learning needs. Her journey in an SEN school led her to the role of Upper Key Stage 2 manager, where she supported teachers and pupils, ensuring the delivery of high quality of teaching. She is currently undergoing NPQ in Leading Literacy. As an Assistant Head at Upton Grange, she oversees Behaviour and Attitudes. Patrycja supports shaping the school’s culture and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment with commitment to all young learners’ well-being.

Laurie Clarke – Clinical Lead
Laurie completed his undergraduate degree in 2009 at the University of Manchester, and his postgraduate degree in Speech & Language Therapy in 2012 at the University of Reading. He has extensive experience as a speech & language therapist both in the UK and abroad. He began his career in Cambodia and Singapore working in paediatric developmental clinics and has worked with a broad range of paediatric speech, language and communication needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Language Disorder, Global Delay, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, articulation, and disordered phonological development. He returned to the UK in 2017 to pursue specialist areas of interest including Autism, SEN and learning disability, before assuming the role of Head of Therapies in an Autism specialist school. Laurie joined Outcomes First Group in 2019 and leads the locality multidisciplinary clinical team, providing clinical services to Hillingdon Manor School and other education provisions across West and North London. The Cedar Hub clinical team of experienced professionals includes speech & language therapists, occupational therapists, practitioner psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors and therapies assistants.
