Home News & Events Mei Completes The London Marathon

On Sunday 26th April, Meiting Li, our Regional Administrator, ran her first London Marathon in support of Mencap, a charity close to her heart. Mei has been preparing for the Marathon for months, training after work and at weekends, to help her complete the 26.2 mile run. Mei said after the Marathon:
“It was Mei’s day — what a wonderful marathon race day! I am so proud of myself for smashing it all the way through.
Today was definitely a highlight, and I believe 26.2 miles is a great milestone for every runner. However, I truly appreciate the journey that brought me here. All the training, preparation, perseverance and endurance have built me up to this day — not just physically, but mentally as well.
I couldn’t have done it without the support of the people around me, including all of you at Hillingdon Manor School. Every encouraging message, kind word and generous donation has meant the world to me. Not to mention the many volunteers and supporters along the route who made it all possible.
A big thank you to everyone — you truly make a difference in our lives.”
Everyone at Hillingdon Manor is so incredibly proud of Mei, and her husband Cody, who completed the Marathon and raised over £5,000 for the charity!
