KS4 Pupils Work Experience at HMS

Some of our pupils recently took part in a Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) Work Experience session with Mick, helping to set up furniture in the staff room. Throughout the activity, pupils demonstrated a range of valuable transferable skills, including teamwork, communication, problem-solving, initiative, and resilience, as they worked together to complete practical tasks in a real workplace environment.

Work experience is a key part of our Careers Education programme, helping pupils develop an understanding of different workplaces, employment opportunities, and the skills needed for future success. Through experiences such as these, learners gain valuable insight into the world of work, enabling them to make more informed decisions about their future pathways. It was fantastic to see pupils engaging so positively and confidently in this meaningful learning opportunity.
