Key Stage 3
Learners follow the Rising Stars curriculum where they take part in a range of cross-curricular projects that teach confidence in a variety of design-based skills. Learners are taught to make functional products for a specified purpose, ensuring that the skills learnt are always related to the wider world.
Key Stage 4 & 5
Learners have the opportunity to access the subject at GCSE level through the AQA, or at level 1/2 through Black Country Atelier. Learners will have opportunities to make products with creativity and originality, having access to traditional woodwork machinery as well as new technologies such as our 3D printer. The range of course levels on offer allows learners of all abilities to work towards accreditation.
