We are now in our fourth year of the Eco-schools scheme and on Friday we will be holding the Eco-schools council elections. This year there are 17 candidates up for election, 7 will become members of the school council and 10 will become ‘Eco-warriors’ whose responsibility it is to help develop the new vegetable garden.
This week the candidates have been preparing their speeches for Fridays assembly and been busy creating posters which are now all around school. Staff have been particularly impressed with the pupils ideas this year. Many candidates have put environmental issues to the fore as their main campaign promise with improving play equipment coming a close second. Good luck to all our year 7 pupils involved in Fridays election 😆
