Board of Governors

The Board of Governors is responsible for the overall management of the school and ensuring that all statutory requirements are complied with. The Governors delegate to the Head Teacher the day to day organisation of the school discipline and any other matters.

 

 

Graham Baker – CEO Chair

Graham has over 25 years’ experience in the special education and healthcare sectors, having worked with a number of significant operators as well as setting up and running his own business. Graham is responsible for driving the strategic direction of the company ensuring steady and sustainable growth, whilst maintaining the quality of service delivered. Prior to joining Outcomes First Group in March 2016, Graham was CEO of care provider Options and was central to a number of significant financial and operational achievements.

 

 

Jane Worsley – Managing Director

Jane has over 30 years’ experience working in health and social care. Starting her career as a Nurse then becoming a Midwife, Jane moved onto management roles in the residential care sector. Jane gained further qualifications through part time study throughout her career, including BA in Professional Studies, MBA and CIPD qualifications. In the last 10 years Jane has held the position of Deputy CEO of a large not for profit social care organisation working with both adults and children with very complex health and or social care needs. Prior to joining Outcomes First Group in March 2016, she was the Chief Operating Officer of Options Group.

 

 

Jackie Kay – HR Manager and Experienced School Governor

Jackie is a qualified HR professional and has spent 30 years in HR Management, working for a variety of blue chip companies. Her previous experience includes working as the HR lead for a large provider for SEN Education and Children’s homes across the UK. Jackie has also sat on the Parent/Governors Board for another school for which she became the Chair.

 

 

Sophie Garner – Head of Service

Sophie has over 20 years’ experience in the specialist education sector and was Head Teacher of two independent day schools for pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour. Prior to joining Outcomes First Group in September 2017, Sophie was Education Services Operations Manager for a large independent specialist education provider acting as Chair of Governors for a number of schools in the South of England.

 

 


Paul Robertson – Head Teacher Secondary

Paul has 30 years’ experience as a teacher having taught PE, Computer Studies to A Level standard and DT to GCSE level. The last 15 years has been in Special Educational Needs specialising in Autism, SEMH and complex communications issues. Paul has a specific interest in outdoor pursuits and learning outside the classroom and has led students both in the UK and around the world. Paul is experienced in leading all aspects of behaviour, curriculum and strategic planning within the school environment.

 

 

Ciaran Walsh – Head Teacher Primary

Previous to becoming Head of primary, Ciaran was Assistant Head Teacher for six years at Yiewsley Grange. Prior to that he was Head of Key Stage 2 for two years as well as class teacher for six years. Currently, Ciaran is finishing his MA in Education & Technology at University College London with the research area being Assistive Technology for Children with Complex Communication Needs. Before commencing the MA, he completed the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership in 2015 and will be undertaking the NPQH this year.

 

Billy Smallwood – Head of Clinical Services

Billy is a Group Analyst and member of the Institute of Group Analysis. She has over 25 years’ experience working within residential, educational and outpatient services for both children and adults and within both the NHS and the independent sector. She has had extensive management experience having held Senior Manager and Managing Director roles within internationally renowned organisations.

 

 

Grace Mullally – Clerk
Grace has twelve years’ experience of supporting children and young people with a diagnosis of Autism. She has worked at Hillingdon Manor School for the past eight years and has experience of working with students at both primary and secondary stages. During this time, Grace has supported pupils in Key Stage 3, 4 & 5 with future planning and preparing for their transition into their next phase and has established links within the local community to provide work related learning opportunities for pupils. Grace is currently working with the Senior Leadership Team to monitor compliance across sites.
