Educational Psychologist / SENCo

Wanted for an independent special school of over 80 pupils with ASC(D) (aged between 5–19) in the borough of Hillingdon.

Main Responsibilities:
SENCO-type responsibilities

  • SEN within the school (including ‘vulnerable children’)
  • Annual Reviews (including occasional chairing, plus monitoring and tracking)
  • Compliancy with Statements of SEN; PSP; IEPs
  • Overseeing Literacy Support Programmes
  • Overseeing Behaviour Support Programmes

Admissions and Assessments:

  •       To be part of the admissions team
  •    To contribute to assessments when appropriate

Responsible to:

  • Heads of School
  • Principal

Responsible for:

  • Therapists
  • Staff delivering specialist programmes (behavioural and learning programmes)
  • One-to-one staff for pupils with additional needs

Location:

  • Hillingdon Manor School
    • (The Manor, The Courtyard, and The Lodge)

Must have:

  • Eligibility to register as a chartered EP
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, oral, written)
  • The ability to work as part of a team and as a self-motivated professional
  • Recent LA experience

Start date

  • As soon as possible

Salary

  • L10 – L14 (£46,431 - £50,907) plus school holidays
    • Salary dependent on experience
